Ava Alvarez

Ava Alvarez is an Administrative Project Assistant in the Workforce and Human Services Division where she supports technical assistance and research projects. Prior to joining SPR, she served as a teaching assistant and a research assistant at UC Davis’s Department of Sociology where she conducted qualitative data analysis on “The Age of Mass Incarceration ” project, focused on California prison policies and formerly incarcerated adults. She is interested in improving reentry programs and reducing recidivism for justice involved adults and youth. Ava holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Davis. In her spare time, she enjoys golfing and traveling as well as spending time with her corgi Bentley.
