First 5 California commissioned SPR to support the expansion phase of an ongoing dual language learner pilot study
Project Highlights
In California, a majority
of children from birth to age 5 are dual language learners (DLL). First 5 California aims to identify the most effective early learning instructional practices, professional development approaches, and family engagement strategies that support young DLLs and to share findings with practitioners and care partners.
To support pilot
expansion, SPR will conduct focus groups with early childcare and education (ECE) providers and interviews of families with children and analyze and report results.
