Oliver is an Associate at SPR and works across research, evaluation, and technical assistance projects in the Workforce and Human Services Division. He is passionate about equity and inclusion, particularly around disability justice. Prior to joining SPR, he worked as a paralegal in direct and impact legal civil rights advancement at a Lambda Legal Defense & Education Fund and New York Legal Assistance Group, a freelance public health educator with organizations based in the US and Canada, and an peer-reviewed author in public health and cognitive science fields. Through these experiences, they have developed expertise in translating data to make it useful for wider audiences in evidence-based practice, policy impact analysis, and organizing with community stakeholders. Oliver earned an MPH from University of California, Berkeley and BAs in Psychology and American Sign Language from the University of Rochester. In his spare time, he enjoys creative writing, rock climbing, and being outdoors.
