About Efren

Efren works as an Associate at SPR, handling research, evaluation, and technical assistance projects in the Workforce and Human Services Division. His areas of interest include equitable implementation science, youth development, and career readiness skills. Before joining SPR, Efren was a Fulbright Scholar for Peru’s Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion. As a Fulbright Scholar, Efren evaluated Peru’s national youth employment program and its impact on career readiness skills.

Efren has also managed federal demonstration projects funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in southern Nevada, covering areas of workforce development and training and youth development. Efren holds a Master of Public Policy from the Ford School at the University of Michigan and a Bachelor’s in Economics from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. In his free time, he enjoys swimming, being outdoors, and learning Mandarin.
