About Andrew

Andrew Wiegand is the President and Chief Executive Officer at Social Policy Research Associates. He previously served as SPR’s Vice President of Research and Business Development. During more than twenty-five years of program and evaluation research, he has developed specialized expertise in quantitative analysis, experimental and quasi-experimental research, workforce development and data, and technical assistance designed to improve data collection, data use, and program accountability. He has led numerous multi-year evaluations of workforce development programs for disconnected youth, adults, and those with juvenile and criminal justice system involvement. He also has presented papers at several national conferences, including the American Psychological Society and Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management (APPAM). Dr. Wiegand received his Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. He also received his Master’s degree in Public Policy from the University of California, Berkeley, and his B.A. in Psychology from Beloit College. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, hiking and other outdoor pursuits, coaching little league baseball, and spending time with his wife and two children.
