On The Frontlines Of Hate: Regional Anti-AAPI Hate Approaches

The COVID-19 pandemic sparked a wave of discrimination and violence against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPIs) living in the United States. In response, AAPI communities and organizations serving them responded with support for community members and allies and strategies for combatting hate perpetrated against them. This paper, Commissioned by the Asian American Foundation, documents those responses—and the strength and resilience of organizations and leaders that stood them up. It offers a framework for building the capacity to address and confront hate. SPR was proud to partner with Eternal Knot Evaluation in developing this paper, which we hope will be useful to others working to stop hate.
