SPR, Jobs for the Future (JFF), and American Institutes for Research (AIR) have teamed up to help states expand registered apprenticeship (RA) under the State Apprenticeship Expansion grant program (and its predecessors) funded by the US Department of Labor’s Office of Apprenticeship.
The three organizations will provide coaching and technical assistance to states seeking to grow and scale apprenticeship programs and support the implementation of policies and institutional changes meant to ensure that apprenticeship becomes a viable, high-quality alternative to traditional higher education. The effort supports programs in traditional and non-traditional occupations and sectors and encourages the participation of job seekers of all ages.
The project launched in 2022 and may continue for up to five years, through 2027.
