Case Studies: The SEAL Model and Its Implementation Across Three Exemplar Districts

SPR worked with SEAL (Sobrato Early Academic Language) to develop an overview document on the SEAL model as well as a series of in-depth case studies on three California school districts that implemented the model. The overview document serves as an introduction to the SEAL model’s origin story, its central design principles and structure, and highlights from its pilot and expansion efforts. The case studies detail the districts’ instructional approaches, funding strategies, and outcomes from implementing SEAL’s model. Two of the three case studies are out so far, focusing on Oak Grove School District and Redwood City School District, with the final case study on Mountain View School District to be published in October!
