Julia is an Associate in the Equity, Education, and Community Change Division. She partners with nonprofits, community-based organizations, public agencies, and foundations on their research and evaluation efforts. She enjoys supporting the learning of equity-centered organizations, agencies, movements, and communities. She is passionate about education, racial equity, and social justice.
Julia has extensive experience in qualitative data collection and analysis. She supports mixed-methods research and culturally responsive evaluation. She has topical experience in community engagement, early education policy, and advocacy campaigns. She’s worked on evaluations focusing on early childhood education, non-profit capacity building, small business incubators, K-12 teacher development, and community organizing.
Julia earned her Master of Public Affairs from the University of California, Berkeley and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Pepperdine University. Outside of the office, Julia loves reading and has been part of an Oakland womxn of color book club since 2017.
