We are pleased to announce the recent hiring of Dr. Sallie Yoshida to the position of Senior Associate in our Philanthropy Equity and Youth Development division. Dr. Yoshida comes to SPR with over 13 years of experience in the design and implementation of community-based program and policy evaluation, having most recently served as the Executive Director of the Sarah Samuels Center for Public Health Research and Evaluation for the past seven years. She received a Doctor of Public Health degree from the University of California Berkeley and is a registered dietitian.
Dr. Yoshida is a dedicated public health evaluator with a lifelong career devoted to improving the health of families and the communities in which they live. She is particularly adept in translating findings and lessons learned to improve program fidelity and/or demonstrate impacts, as shown through her deep body of work evaluating obesity prevention initiatives and food access. Furthermore, Dr. Yoshida has worked with a range of government, philanthropic, and nonprofit clients in which she led, designed, and implemented mixed method studies addressing health inequities.
SPR is thrilled to welcome Dr. Yoshida, and we look forward to drawing on her skills, expertise, and passion as we continue to expand our public health, health equity, and effective philanthropy portfolio.
