- Performance data that helped us understand something about the effectiveness of workforce programs and services based outcomes of people enrolled in them; and
- Labor market data that told us where jobs were (and weren’t) and were often shared in the form of monthly reports (PDFs…) or analyzed by state labor market researchers and turned into topical papers or briefs.
How the world has changed! We are awash in data. Mobile devices and apps are radically changing expectations about how we access and use data. Join us at NAWB to explore this new landscape and how workforce agencies are changing their practices – we’ll feature the State of Washington’s effort to develop a develop systems-level workforce performance dashboard, findings from the efforts of 23 Workforce Data Quality Initiative (WDQI) states working on tools to turn data into intelligence, and stories from the civic tech community (the DC Code for America Brigade) partnering with governments across the country to co-create new tools and new kinds of intelligence aimed at improving people’s lives.
See you Monday, March 30 at 4:00pm!
