Face-to-Face Training

 

Face-to-face training workshops are interactive, customized, and appeal to a wide range of learning styles. They are designed to involve participants in applying their newly gained skills and often include planning and implementation activities.

They range in length from 90 minutes to 5 days.

Team and Partnership Building

SPR offers several workshops that focus on strengthening teams and building partnerships in ways that lead to better customer service:

  • Powerful Youth Alliances: Linking Youth Service Providers. This one-day workshop provides tools and best practice examples on how to link service providers and a mix of funding sources into an integrated service delivery system for Youth.
  • Powerful Youth Alliances: Advanced System Building. This one-day workshop covers multiple models for linking the operations of youth service providers, including (1) building an effective Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between program partners, (2) co-locating partners, (3) building Board support, (4) building an effective referral relationship, and (5) co-enrolling participants in multiple programs.
  • Co-Enrollment and Co-Participation to Enhance Services. This one-day, highly interactive workshop helps organizations develop customer-centered partnerships in their communities, including all necessary building blocks to design, implement and sustain co-participation and co-enrollment.
  • Partnering and Organizational Change. This one-day workshop guides partner organizations through a discovery process that forms the basis for partnering and organizational change. Participants also learn new ways to develop meaningful agreements and manage organizational change.
  • Partnering for Quality. This five-day program helps service delivery partners create and enhance integrated service systems that meet the needs of their customers and funding requirements. It provides participants with tools and strategies for (1) developing broad partnerships, (2) designing seamless services that meet customer needs, and (3) managing integrated service delivery systems.

Program Evaluation

SPR offers two workshops that help service providers evaluate their program’s effectiveness in delivering services and making an impact on their participants and their community.

  • Building Your Evaluation Capacity. This three-day workshop helps service providers build their internal evaluation capacity, by helping them develop evaluation measures and indicators, and develop appropriate data collection and analyses methodologies.
  • Building Evaluation Capacity II: A Workshop for Youth Civic Activist Organizations. This three-day workshop is designed specifically for youth civic activist organizations who want to build their internal evaluation capacity. The workshop, with a specific focus on social change, helps organizations develop evaluation measures and indicators, and develop appropriate data collection and analysis methodologies.

Performance Measurement, Management, and Problem-Solving

SPR offers workshops to improve performance measurement, performance management, and performance related problem solving. We help organizations build capacity to recognize and analyze performance-related problems, develop corrective measures, and ensure that performance improvements are sustained over time. Our workshops include:

  • How to Improve Program Outcomes through Enhanced Follow-up and Retention Services. This one-day workshop shows programs how to create a culture of retention among staff and participants that will improve participant success and program outcomes.
  • Knowing How Your Program is Doing - Sooner - Using Real-Time Measures for Quality Services. This one-day training provides management information system staff, program managers and program staff with the information and tools necessary to collect, track, analyze, and report performance data.
  • Performance Outcome Data Analysis. This half-day workshop covers how programs can use interim indicators to help strategically manage programs and project long-term program outcomes based on in-program and exit information.
  • Procuring and Contracting for High-Performing Services. This one-day workshop covers methods for developing Request for Proposals and negotiating contracts with youth service providers that reflect the performance benchmarks.

Process Improvement

  • Building a Process for Continuous Improvement. This one-day workshop teaches participants how to design and implement a continuous improvement process, including what tools to use, how to establish process improvement teams, and how to apply continuous improvement tools to the collaboration process.
